Blacky is a black Domestic Shorthair with golden-green eyes and a distinctive protruding canine tooth that gives him a unique, endearing appearance. Blacky is a true survivor — he battled and overcame Feline Panleukopenia (Parvo), Feline Herpesvirus, Calicivirus, and Mycoplasma, all severe upper respiratory and systemic infections that are often fatal, especially in combination. He was rescued by a dedicated individual who refused to give up on him even when his condition was critical. After extensive treatment and care at Pawspact Veterinary Clinic, Blacky has made a full recovery. He is now vaccinated, health-checked, and ready for adoption. He may require occasional monitoring for flare-ups related to his herpesvirus history, as the virus can remain dormant. Blacky needs an informed, committed adopter who understands his medical background.
Blacky should not be alive. That is not an exaggeration — it is a medical fact. He contracted Feline Panleukopenia, one of the deadliest viral diseases in cats, along with Feline Herpesvirus, Calicivirus, and Mycoplasma. Four infections. All at once. Any one of them can be fatal. Together, they are devastating. Blacky was in terrible shape — deteriorating rapidly with very little hope. But one woman refused to accept that. She didn't walk away. She didn't put him down. She fought for him. Day after day, treatment after treatment, she stayed by his side and gave him every chance to survive. And against all odds, Blacky survived. Every single one of them. He pulled through the worst and came out the other side — scarred but standing. His protruding fang is a badge of everything he has been through. It makes him look tough. He earned it. Blacky is now fully recovered, healthy, and ready for a home. After everything his body has endured, all he needs now is a person who will give his heart a safe place to rest.
